Snowie is a high-quality backgammon program. It is based on proprietary neural network technology that has been trained to play as good as or better than the best human players. Snowie 1 to Snowie 3 used a special learning technique similar to the TD learning algorithm published by G. Tesauro. Snowie 4 however, is based on a new kind of learning algorithm that allowed it to play much stronger than the previous version. We think that Snowie 4 is stronger than the best human player. Soon, there will be a special version of Snowie playing on TrueMoneygames for money.
In order to learn more about Snowie, you can use our quick tour. You may also read the entire Snowie help online. You will find that this method of reading the help file is not very efficient in that you will have to browse through the entire file since you lack the possibility to jump directly to the desired help page, but it will give you an idea about what Snowie can do.
You can also watch Snowie playing online on two backgammon servers: Netgammon and Playmaker World.On both servers Snowie proves to be a very tough opponent.
